An automatic bid for the DII World Series in Enid, Oklanhoma will be on the line as 8 teams meet for the Region X/Southeast District Tournament. Burlington, NC will host another Region X tournament this time at the Burlington Athletic Stadium, the home of the Burlington Royals, the rookie class affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. Last years tournament winner and this years conference champion Pitt Community College (28-10-1, 20-2) will have the #1 seed. Pitt will take on the #8 seed Southeastern Community College (20-19, 10-13) in the first round. The #2 seed will be Patrick Henry Community College (34-14-1, 16-5-1) will play the #7 seed Bryant & Stratton College (27-22, 13-12). The #3 seed will be occupied by Region VIII champion Pasco-Hernando State College () out of Port Richey, Florida, they will take on #6 seed Wake Technical Community College (27-16-1, 12-10-1). In the final matchup in the first round #4 seed Catawba Valley Community College (39-14, 18-7) will take on #5 seed Brunswick Community College (25-21, 14-10).
