After making a run as the #2 seed in the Region X Tournament, the Rockingham Community College Eagles earned their spot into this years DIII Baseball World Series in Greenville, Tennessee. Rockingham won the District D title by defeating the Region 20 Champion Prince George Community College (MD) in a 3 game series. After dropping the first game 5-4, the Eagles rallied back with a decisive 6-2 victory in the 2nd game and then a 17-15 slugfest win in the deciding game.
Rockingham will travel to Pioneer Park in Greenville, TN on May 26-31 for the World Series. All the tournament games will be televised on NJCAA TV and for more information on the world series visit http://www.njcaa.org/sports/bsb/2017-18/div3/national_championship/index.
