In the DI Men's Soccer Championship match #2 Louisburg was able to pull off the upset by defeating #1 Richard Bland 5-2.  Louisburg claimed the championship by defeating Patrick Henry 10-1 in the first round and host school Spartanburg Methodist 1-0 in the semifinal round.  Richard Bland reached the championship by defeating Cape Fear 2-0 in the semifinal round.  With the win Louisburg has earned the right to host the Southeast District Championship as the #1 seed.  As Region 10 runner-up Louisburg will also go to the Southeast District tournament as the #3 seed.  Region 8 Champion, Florida, will enter as the #2 seed while Region 17 Champion, Georgia, will enter as the #4 seed.  The winner of the Southeast District title will earn a bid to the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer National Tournament in Prescott, Arizona on November 13-18, 2017.  

At the conclusion of the tournament Region 10 awards were announced with Richard Bland's Eduardo DeSouza winning Coach of the Year and Louisburg's James Fergany was named Player of the Year.
