In a defensive battle #1 Cape Fear was able to score with 19 minutes left in the match to defeat host school #2 Spartanburg Methodist.  Cape Fear reached the championship match by defeating Louisburg 1-0 in the semifinals while Spartanburg Methodist defeated USC Salkehatchie 10-0 in the first round and Patrick Henry 5-0 in the semifinals.  With the win Cape Fear will face Region 20 Winner, Harford Community College, in the District L Championship match.  The winner of the match will earn a bid to the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer National Tournament in Melbourne, Florida on November 13-18, 2017.
