Brunswick will enter the DII World Series in Enid, Oklahoma as the #8 seed and will face off with the #9 seed Monroe Community College (NY).  The winner of this game having to face off against the #1 seed LSU Eunice, a 5 time national champion, who recieved a first round bye.

In DIII, Rockingham Community College (23-19-1, 9-7), capped off a run by upsetting the #1 seed Surry Community College team twice and posting an offensive onslaught themselves scoring no less than 12 runs in their three Region X tournament games.  After claiming the Region X title, Rockingham hosted Region 20 champion Prince George's Community College (21-25, 10-15), in the District D Championship.  After falling in game one 6-5, Rockingham rallied in the best of three series to win game two 6-2 and then the deciding third game 17-15.  Rockingham will enter the DIII World Series as the #8 seed and will face off with the #1 seed powerhouse Herkimer who cames into the tournament ranked #1 in the nation with a 35-7 record.
